Talis Consulting Group is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the Operations engineering team building the backend systems behind warehouse operations, ERP, inventory and customer service tooling. You will own delivery against roadmaps and ensure data flow and reliability across tightly coupled systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive estimation, and collaborate with product, robotics, and ecommerce teams to align on priorities and architecture, while promoting a culture of quality

Qualifications

• 10+ years building software with senior IC experience.
• 3–5+ years managing and growing software engineering teams.
• Strong ops/logistics domain experience in warehouse/ERP/inventory.
• Experience decomposing large programs and delivering incrementally.
• Experience with estimating using ranges and data.
• Hands-on fluency with generative-AI tooling for software development.
• Experience operating live, business-critical systems with on-call.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Operations engineering team behind WMS, ERP, inventory and customer service tooling.
• Own operational health and on-call rotation; run blameless postmortems.
• Review designs, pair on hard problems, fix production issues.
• Drive predictable delivery against roadmap; decompose initiatives into increments.
• Coach engineers and manage hiring with the VP of Engineering.
• Partner with Product Management, warehouse ops, robotics, and ecommerce teams.
• Align with Robotics Automation Engineering for software-hardware interfaces.
