Job summary

Talis Consulting Group is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead our ecommerce engineering team responsible for the customer-facing storefront, including catalog, search, cart, checkout, and accounts. You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, and drive deliverables end-to-end while maintaining a focus on user experience and performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building software, including 3+ years at a senior IC level.
• 3-5 years managing and developing software engineering teams.
• Strong ecommerce experience building and operating customer-facing systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and stewardship across the team.
• Establish engineering patterns, conventions, and practices.
• Maintain high bar for customer experience including performance and accessibility.
• Own operational health of live systems in a you build it, you run it model.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and compensation decisions.
