Job summary

BrightOrder Inc. is seeking a Software Manager to lead a talented development team remotely. You will own the full software delivery lifecycle, mentor engineers, and contribute production code while shaping the roadmap with Product and stakeholders.

You will drive architecture decisions, enforce coding standards, and manage releases. The role requires hands-on leadership, cloud-native focus on AWS, and collaboration across teams to deliver valuable fleet-management software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing and coaching software engineers in a team environment.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience writing production code.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Backend development experience with .NET or Node.js, and frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery, including sprint execution and release management.
• Experience leading production operations, including incident response and reliability practices.
• Experience collaborating with Product stakeholders on roadmap and requirements.
• Experience working in a B2B SaaS product environment.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to define the roadmap and translate requirements into actionable plans.

• Oversee production reliability, incident response, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
• Contribute hands‑on to backend and frontend codebases, with a focus on AWS architecture and integrations.
