Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, with 7+ preferred.
• End-to-end ownership is expected across the lifecycle.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building end-to-end web application solutions with a strong emphasis on pragmatic architecture, reliability, and user-centered design. You will own features from initial understanding through delivery and support, while partnering closely with end users, stakeholders, and engineering teammates to turn business needs into high-quality software. The position also calls for thoughtful use of AI development tools, strong technical judgment, and a leadership mindset that helps raise standards across the team.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own features and problems from user understanding through design, delivery, and support
• Design and build full-stack web application solutions, making pragmatic architectural decisions
• Leverage AI tools for development while ensuring thorough review and testing of all outputs
• Engage in the full software development life cycle, including analysis, implementation, integration, testing, and support
• Lead code reviews and mentor other engineers to elevate quality standards
• Collaborate with end users and stakeholders to understand the business context behind requests
• Set estimates and milestones while balancing technical risks, deadlines, and costs
• Contribute to shaping the future roadmap of the engineering team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, with 7+ preferred, and a focus on end-to-end ownership
• Strong engineering judgment to distinguish between solid and shaky solutions
• Product mindset with the ability to prioritize user needs and practical details in software design
• Fluency with modern AI development tools and coding agents, along with a commitment to quality assurance
• Ability to learn new languages and frameworks quickly; Elixir and Phoenix experience is welcomed but not required
• Solid foundation in software design, architecture, and reliability practices
• Clear communication skills for effective collaboration with teammates and tools
