Role Overview:
You will design, develop, and support scalable technology solutions within a high-volume enterprise environment. Collaborate with product, engineering, quality assurance, architecture, security, and business teams to deliver reliable digital products and platforms. Use your strong hands-on engineering skills and technical leadership to guide decisions, mentor engineers, and support modernization efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions
- Translate business and product requirements into technical solutions
- Develop high-quality, reusable code following engineering standards and design principles
- Build and integrate APIs, microservices, cloud-based applications, data services, and event-driven systems
- Participate in architecture and design discussions, providing recommendations to balance needs, quality, cost, and timelines
- Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, UX professionals, and stakeholders throughout development
- Review code, identify improvements, and reinforce development standards and best practices
- Diagnose and resolve complex application, integration, performance, and production issues
- Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests
- Support continuous integration/delivery practices, including automated builds, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Apply security, privacy, accessibility, and data protection standards during design and development
- Monitor application performance and reliability, identifying and implementing improvements
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Break complex initiatives into manageable technical stories and tasks
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning
- Partner with dependent teams to coordinate integrations, releases, and dependencies
- Participate in production support and incident response activities as needed
- Research emerging technologies and recommend practical improvements to tools, platforms, and processes
Required Qualifications:
- Six or more years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, or Go
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
- Experience with relational and/or nonrelational databases
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud-native development practices
- Experience with source control, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery tools
- Strong understanding of software design principles, development patterns, and the software development lifecycle
- Experience working in an Agile product-development environment
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple applications, services, and integrations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment
