Job summary

Nakupuna Consulting seeks a Software Developer IV to join the Portfolio Operations team, ensuring payroll data accuracy and integrity through rigorous testing and validation. The role supports a large, multi‑year IPPS‑Army program, with on‑site Arlington work two days and a hybrid option.

You will design test plans, validate data, and perform regression testing while mentoring junior teammates. A Secret clearance and DoD experience are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 2+ years government software experience required.
• Strong SQL and data validation experience required.
• PeopleSoft PeopleTools and SAFe for Teams certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create or update data conversion programs.
• Run payrolls for testing and reconciliation.
• Create comprehensive test plans and data validation procedures.
• Validate employee data, pay rates, and deductions across systems.
• Perform regression testing to ensure new code does not affect existing payroll functionality.
• Conduct peer reviews of configuration and code to ensure accuracy and alignment with architecture.
• Perform unit testing and software development activities supporting enhancements and defects.
• Maintain documentation of test plans, results, and resolutions.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices and standards.
