Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Software Configuration Management Engineer within the Lunar Permanence program. You will ensure the integrity, traceability, and quality of flight-critical software powering lunar missions.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software configuration management experience in a technical environment.
• Deep understanding of Software Configuration Management principles and implementation within Aerospace or Aviation domains.
• Proficiency with version control systems and change management/agile tools (GitLab, Jira, SVN, ClearCase, Rational Suite, Jenkins).
• Proficiency with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted partner to cross-functional teams embedding configuration management practices.
• Manage and control software configurations across the full software development lifecycle.
• Lead and facilitate Software Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), audits, and compliance assessments.
• Contribute to program milestone reviews ensuring CM considerations are addressed and documented.
• Provide technical guidance on CM principles, builds, and toolchain practices.
• Develop and maintain CM processes to ensure compliance with AS9115, DO-178, DO-254.
