Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a senior software engineer to join an agile team responsible for building scalable, enterprise-grade applications across digital channels. You will drive architectural decisions and collaborate to align solutions with product roadmaps.

You will engage in all Scrum ceremonies, design engineering specifications, and review code to ensure performance and maintainability. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and delivering high-quality software in a healthcare

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field is required.
Experience designing and analyzing algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
Proven ability to translate designs into working software with attention to performance and maintainability.

Responsibilities

Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
Design and write code that adheres to standards; perform code reviews.
Generate ideas, explore and implement technical solutions to achieve product features; monitor progress and scalability.
Participate in all Scrum ceremonies; assist in sprint planning and execute sprints to deliver software.
Create and manage story tasks; use RTC or Jira for status updates and tracking.
Collaborate with principal engineers on complex technical solutions; mentor junior engineers.
