Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks a Software Engineering Senior Advisor in Seattle to lead a platform team focusing on REST-based entity services for next-generation service architecture. You will drive API development, data pipelines, and security implementations within a hybrid work model.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or bachelor’s with 4+ years in enterprise software, experience with AWS migrations, MongoDB, Kafka, and Spring-based microservices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with 2+ years as a Senior Technical Consultant or related role.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years experience considered.
• Experience in healthcare or pharmacy benefit management industry is required.
• Experience with AWS cloud migration and data pipelines is preferred.
• Experience with MongoDB change streams and data lake integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of REST-based APIs in a scrum team.
• Define and refine API requirements and specifications; perform analyses and create designs.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with architects on technology direction.
• Coordinate sprint planning, task breakdowns, and status communication.
• Define test strategy with QA and implement best practices for complex components.
