Job summary

ADP is seeking a Software Architect to lead architecture discussions and hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will model complex domains, document APIs, and ensure secure, scalable solutions while maintaining a strong coding presence with a 50-50 architecture/code split.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Domain Experts across global teams, influence senior leadership, and drive architectural governance in an Agile/Lean context.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
• TDD experience required; automation of quality gates is a goal.
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project and time management skills in fast-paced environments.
• ADLC experience.
• Proficiency translating complex solutions into UML diagrams using Enterprise Architect, Mural, or similar tools.
• Experience with at least one of NodeJS, Python, Go.
• Experience with Cloud technology such as AWS, Jenkins and Docker.
• Experience as an API or backend developer.
• SOX compliant systems, E-Commerce, and/or Cybersecurity experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions between domain experts to extract information for accurate models.
• Translate complex business domains into scalable, high-performance, secure designs.
• Hands-on coding with a 50-50 architecture/code split.
• Create and maintain Domain Models as part of Architecture/Development team.
• Create and maintain API and Solution documentation.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architecture standards; partner with Product, Engineering, and Domain Experts to align with business objectives.
