Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Architect for the C2BMC-Regional program, focusing on the design, development, and testing of a Java-based missile defense planner system. You will oversee software architecture, collaborate with engineers, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture tenets.

The role requires 5+ years in software architecture, strong Java skills, and experience with event-driven or SOA paradigms, plus DoD integration and container tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in software architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with software engineering and architecture in large software systems.
• Experience with the Java programming language and developing software throughout the full software lifecycle.
• Understand modern software architecture paradigms such as event-driven or service-oriented architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee the implementation of the software architecture for the Java-based C2BMC planner system.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines to ensure architectural alignment.
• Install and configure Linux and Windows hardware from the OS up to the Planner applications.
• Perform trade studies and analysis for current and future C2BMC development activities.
