Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a software engineer to design, develop, and test C2BMC applications. You will work in a fast-paced RA ART team, using Java in UNIX/Linux environments while maintaining and enhancing existing software.

Role requires 4+ years in software development, DoD Final Secret clearance, and experience with Git/Gitlab and SysML diagrams. Strong collaboration within an integrated team is essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4+ years of professional experience.
• Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
• Demonstrated experience software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
• Demonstrated experience utilizing standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams to create software products.
• Security+ or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new Java applications; Maintain existing Java applications
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution
• Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
• Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
• Interface with other system support groups
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
