Blue Shield of CA is seeking an Advanced Social Service Representative to provide telephonic social services support and resource referrals to members, coordinating with the Social Services team to improve care quality. The role includes handling first-line calls and supporting department leadership while navigating Medi-Cal populations and health disparities.

The position requires significant experience in Medi-Cal managed care and strong communication skills; bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Competenze

• Requires a High School diploma or GED or 1 year of additional relevant experience in lieu of a diploma.
• Requires 5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated 2 years of experience with Medi-Cal managed care including Cal MediConnect and Medicare.
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of health disparities in diverse communities.
• Effective time management and ability to prioritize among multiple responsibilities.
• Experience working with Medi-Cal populations preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
