Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or public affairs with a focus on social media.
• Experience on political campaigns and large company initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strategic thinking with creative comms strategies.
• Ability to learn quickly about public policy and energy industry.
• Strong project management and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; craft social media messaging and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a targeted social media strategy for hyperlocal U.S. markets, coordinating with the agency of record and Google’s CDMs.
• Manage external social media firm for monitoring, paid social, asset production, and community communications.
• Review and approve copy, visuals, and engagement strategies to ensure quality and brand consistency.
• Ensure activations align with Google’s data center narratives of community benefits and responsible execution.
• Establish KPIs and sentiment metrics with the agency and report insights to leadership.
