Job summary

Google is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead hyperlocal campaigns for its US data center footprint. You\'ll define the social strategy, manage an external agency, and ensure content aligns with Google\'s data center narratives.

Working with Marketing and Data Center Brand teams, you\'ll review copy, assets, and engagement strategies, tracking KPIs and driving community-focused results. This role demands strong writing, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or public affairs, with a focus on social media.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a targeted social media strategy tailored to hyperlocal audiences in U.S. markets across various social media platforms, working closely with our agency of record and Google’s community development managers (CDMs).
• Manage the external social media firm to deliver on landscape monitoring, audits, paid social campaigns, and community communications across channels.
• Review and approve copy, visual assets, and engagement strategies to ensure high quality and brand consistency.
• Ensure all social media activations rigorously align with Google’s narratives around innovation, affordability, environmental protection, and community benefits.
• Establish KPIs and sentiment metrics with the agency, using real-time data to optimize social strategies and report insights to leadership.
