Qualifications

• 3+ years building social media strategies for video-centric publishers or major broadcast newsrooms.
• 2+ years leading a team of content creators (social producers, video editors, digital teams).
• Proven track record in video growth via short-form vertical video and live streaming.
• Advanced proficiency with Photoshop and live-clipping/publishing tools (e.g., Wildmoka, Grabyo, SnapStream, SocialNewsDesk).
• Experience collaborating across multi-market partner teams and digital desks.
• Excellent writing, strong newsroom instincts, familiarity with Southern California social media culture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and mentor a team of Digital Content Creators, ensuring high production quality and consistent brand voice.
• Champion a video-first mindset, shifting from text publishing to video, clips, and live distribution.
• Set platform growth KPIs and establish best practices for visual storytelling and publishing workflows.
• Partner with the Fox Local LA Streaming Content team to identify high-value live feeds for social distribution.
• Optimize all social output with platform-native features and engaging captions.
• Coordinate with KTVU to align California-wide digital strategies and share cross-market assets.
• Establish shared social playbooks and test emerging platforms across markets.
• Monitor real-time analytics to refine video strategies and maximize organic reach.
• Maintain strict news judgment and brand integrity during breaking news.
