Job summary

KTTV FOX 11 Los Angeles is hiring a Senior Lead, Social Media & Digital Strategy to direct our digital social operations and a team of Digital Content Creators. You will drive growth with a video-first, platform-native approach across major social channels.

You will work with production teams to publish high-value video stories, build brand reach for FOX LOCAL, and collaborate with sister stations to align California-wide digital strategies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and executing social media strategies for video-centric publishers or major broadcast newsrooms.
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of content creators.
• Proven track record in video growth via short-form vertical video and live streaming.
• Experience with publishing tools for video editing and distribution.
• Ability to collaborate across multi-market partner teams and digital/streaming groups.
• Strong writing skills and newsroom instincts; familiarity with Southern California social media culture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of Digital Content Creators with strong editorial ethics and brand voice.
• Promote a video-first newsroom mindset and push for video, clips, and live distribution.
• Set platform growth KPIs and best practices for visual storytelling and editing workflows.
• Coordinate with the Fox Local LA Streaming Content team to identify high-value live feeds.
• Optimize social output with platform-native features and engaging captions.
• Align content strategies with KTVU to share cross-market video assets.
• Develop shared social playbooks and test emerging platforms.
• Monitor analytics to refine strategies and maximize organic reach.
• Maintain strict news judgment and speed without compromising accuracy.
