ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Physical Design Engineer to join their semiconductor team in Folsom, CA. You will support SoC development, perform floorplanning, timing closure, routing, and physical verification.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in physical design, proficiency with EDA tools and scripting, and collaborative, proactive problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in physical design and layout/mask design for ICs.
• Proficiency with EDA tools and automation scripting for physical design tasks.
• Strong understanding of SoC design processes, including floorplanning, placement, routing, and verification.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality design outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement physical design solutions for SoC devices from RTL, netlists, and design constraints.
• Utilize EDA tools, automation scripts, and other design equipment to complete tasks.
• Perform floorplanning, power grid design, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing closure, and physical verification.
• Analyze design quality, identify implementation issues, and verify layouts meet performance, power, area, and manufacturability requirements.
• Review physical design methodologies and support tapeout activities for successful launches.
