Responsibilities

• Develop and implement physical design solutions for SoC devices from RTL, netlists, and design constraints.
• Utilize EDA tools, automation scripts, and other design equipment to complete tasks.
• Perform floorplanning, power grid design, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing closure, and physical verification.
• Analyze design quality, identify implementation issues, and verify layouts meet performance, power, area, and manufacturability requirements.
• Review physical design methodologies and support tapeout activities for successful launches.

Our client, a leader in the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Sr. Physical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Physical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Physical Design Department supporting the engineering teams involved in advanced System-on-Chip (SoC) development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location:Folsom, CA

Pay Range:$80-$90/hr

What's the Job?

• Develop and implement physical design solutions for SoC devices from RTL, netlists, and design constraints provided by engineering teams.


• Utilize EDA tools, automation scripts, and other computerized design equipment to complete design tasks efficiently.


• Perform floorplanning, power grid design, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing closure, and physical verification.


• Analyze design quality, identify implementation issues, and verify that completed layouts meet performance, power, area, and manufacturability requirements.


• Review physical design methodologies, validate implementation flows, and support tapeout activities to ensure successful product launches.
