Job summary

Samsung Research America seeks an experienced SOC Architect to lead the Fabric, System Cache and DRAM controller sub-system design for next-generation Galaxy devices. This hands-on role requires coordinating architecture decisions across hardware and software teams, driving performance and power balance, and guiding implementation with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of SOC design and architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in Fabric, System Cache and DRAM controller.
• Knowledge of memory controller architecture, scheduling, QoS.
• Understanding of ARM ACE/AXI/AHB bus interfaces.
• Exposure to JEDEC standards like LPDDR, DDR or HBM.

Responsibilities

• Guide development of Fabric, System Cache and DRAM controller features to boost power and performance in next-gen SOCs.
• Deliver architecture proposals for Fabric, System Cache and DRAM controller for new and existing products.
• Evaluate proposals with a team of SoC Architects and communicate results across SW/HW/Architecture groups.
• Perform high-level performance modeling/simulation and analysis of features and workloads.
• Direct modeling studies to support microarchitecture decisions and tradeoffs.
• Deliver specifications and present architecture concepts to design teams and leadership.
• Collaborate with silicon bring-up and product teams to verify delivered performance.
• Document and align across SOC, drivers, OS and systems teams.
