Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a SOC Engineer to join the Cyber team in the Security Operations Center. The role focuses on escalation response to security events, threat detection, and incident containment.

Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and knowledge of threat landscapes are essential. The candidate will monitor security events, perform triage, generate reports, and contribute to playbooks while participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience in infosec, cybersecurity, system or networking.
• Three (3) or more years of experience with network protocols, configurations, or IT operations.
• Two (2) or more years with cloud technologies such as Azure/AWS, preferred.
• Two (2) or more years with EDR/SIEM platforms, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors security event platforms and follows incident playbook for first response and triage.
• Conducts network monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using IDS/IPS, firewalls, HBSS, Azure security, and audit logs.
• Creates daily, weekly, and monthly reports for Security Management Team.
• Participates in on-call rotation and contributes to playbooks and runbooks.
