Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a SOC Engineer to join the Cyber team in the Security Operations Center. The role focuses on escalation response to security events and threat analysis, with duties spanning monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident containment.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, analytics, and up-to-date knowledge of threat landscapes. Responsibilities include supporting playbooks, reporting, and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in infosec, cybersecurity, system or networking.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS preferred.
• Experience with EDR and SIEM platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors security event platforms and follows incident playbooks.
• Performs network monitoring and intrusion detection analysis.
• Provides proactive feedback to improve monitoring rules.
• Creates periodic reports for Security Management Team.
• Participates in on-call rotation and keeps runbooks updated.
