Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a SOC Engineer to join the Cyber team as an escalation responder within the Security Operations Center. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving and analytics skills and participates in threat monitoring and response.

You will troubleshoot security events, assess threats, advise on containment, and help enhance monitoring capabilities. Knowledge of Windows and Linux, SIEM/EDR, and cloud security is valued.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of information security experience.
• Experience with threat hunting and incident response.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security event platforms and follow incident playbooks.
• Analyze network traffic and use IDS/IPS, firewalls, and EDR tools.
• Develop and update security runbooks and reports.
• Participate in on-call rotation and postmortem reviews.
• Stay current on threats via security feeds and reports.
