Needham Bank is recruiting a Business Development Officer in Needham, MA to cultivate micro and small business relationships and drive loan originations. The role requires proactive client outreach, pipeline management, and collaboration with internal teams to meet client needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong sales, organizational and communication skills, plus a Bachelor’s degree in business or finance and familiarity with banking products and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Proactively generate, cultivate, and maintain a portfolio of small business clients by building long-term relationships and providing tailored financial guidance.
• Actively build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients; converting leads to long-term relationships.
• Originate and close new loans for both existing customers and prospects consistent with the Bank’s credit policies and state and federal regulations.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend deposit accounts, Treasury Management, Merchant services, and Wealth solutions.
• Partner with internal departments to deliver seamless end-to-end client experiences and ensure all needs are met.
