Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Sleep Technologist at Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. This 0.9 FTE night position performs polysomnographic testing, scoring, and sleep therapy administration, including CPAP/BiPAP titrations and home sleep tests.

The role requires advanced training beyond high school, strong sleep-study proficiency, and excellent patient interaction skills to ensure accurate data collection and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must meet AASM standard of 80% proficiency in scoring with interscore reliability.
• Proficient in sleep study scoring and data interpretation.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Scores sleep/wake stages and generates reports from sleep and clinical data.
• Applies monitoring electrodes and PAP/BiPAP equipment; ensures patient comfort and safety.
• Performs CPAP/BiPAP titrations and related sleep therapy procedures.
• Sets up and scores home sleep tests and polysomnographic data acquisition.
• Maintains data integrity and trains staff as needed.
• Ensures equipment calibration and handles routine maintenance and safety checks.
