Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking a manufacturing engineer to conduct critical design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability. You will develop assembly plans, create detailed manufacturing documentation, and provide on-floor support to troubleshoot and implement improvements using PLM and MES systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and experience with 3D modeling tools; active security clearance preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams.
Experience supporting vehicle systems installations & integration into a final product; rigging experience.
Proficient in 3D modelling software (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, NX) and PLM/MES programs.
Active secret security clearance or ability to obtain within 3 months of start date.

Responsibilities

Conduct critical design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability.
Develop assembly plans and innovative solutions to address daily challenges; ensure efficient production flow.
Create and maintain detailed manufacturing products and documentation.
Provide direct support on the production floor, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
Utilize PLM and MES to develop manufacturing processes; interpret drawings and model-based designs for manufacturability.
