Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA seeks an experienced Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement electrical manufacturing processes and layouts for assemblies and installations. The role drives adoption of new technologies, analyzes 3D model data, and leverages factory data for continuous improvement.

The position requires a STEM degree, active security clearance, and extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing environments, including harness design and SAP/MES systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required to apply.
• Active Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years AND the ability to obtain special program access within 3 months of start date with LM.
• Experience in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production operations.
• Experience in electrical harness design review, fabrication, and installation
• Experience in supporting shop floor production activities and rapidly resolving constraints to minimize production impact.
• Experience supporting various projects and coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of projects from conception to delivery.
• Proficient working in 3D modelling software (CATIA (preferred), Creo, SolidWorks, Nx), product Lifecycle Manager (PLM) programs (e.g. 3DX, Teamcenter, PDM, etc.), and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) programs (iBASEt, SAP, etc.).
• Experience with MRP system or SAP or other Manufacturing Execution System (MES) application
• Experience with planning functions including Computer Aided Production Planning (CAPP) and Shop Order Maintenance (SOM)
