Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with the site operations team, implement WHS policies, and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. This role leads continuous improvement to reduce risk and protect associates.

The successful candidate will build and mentor a team of safety professionals, deliver training, and communicate effectively with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years in safety/environment programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 7+ years in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvements.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Measure site performance and plan fixes for deficiencies.
• Maintain safety records and provide accurate reporting and metrics.
• Deliver on-time, quality safety projects to Operations.
• Deep dive safety metrics and incident trends to justify resources.
• Audit record keeping and Global Safety Database entries.
• Manage and mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates.
• Engage IPS and Site Leadership for long-term action.
• Lead targeted Kaizen events with Operations to address risks.
