Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with site operations in Buckeye, AZ. You will drive safety policy compliance, lead risk assessments, and guide a team of safety professionals to reduce ergonomic and safety risks across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, to support site needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon Safety Policies.
• Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies and plan fixes for deficiencies.
• Audit record keeping and data integrity and provide Operations with accurate reporting and metrics.
• Deep Dive safety metrics and review incident trends to justify resource allocation.
