Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with the site operations team, executing WHS policies and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risks, while mentoring Safety staff and driving Kaizen efforts across the site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in safety/environmental programs and people management, along with lean process experience and willingness to work varied

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years safety/environmental program experience in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 7+ years experience in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required to support direct reports and site needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon Safety Policies.
• Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies and fix deficiencies.
• Ensure safety record keeping and data integrity with accurate reporting and metrics.
• Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
• Lead Kaizen events and drive safety improvements with Operations.Mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates at the site.
• Audit training quality, tools, and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with corporate and regional safety personnel to apply global best practices.
