Job summary

Amazon Amarillo site seeks a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with operations, execute WHS policies, and ensure regulatory compliance. Lead lean, Kaizen-based improvements to reduce risk and create a safe workplace for associates.

You will build and mentor a team of safety managers and associates, train leadership on policy, and drive continuous safety performance through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration with regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 7+ years in safety/environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required to support direct reports and site needs
• Strong leadership and people management experience

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Measure site performance against safety requirements and fix deficiencies.
• Ensure safety record keeping and data integrity with accurate reporting and metrics.
• Lead safety projects and Kaizen events with Operations teams.
• Mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates on site.
• Drive incident reduction through Injury Prevention Specialists and site leadership.
• Audit training quality, delivery, and effectiveness of safety programs.
• Collaborate with regional and global safety teams to share best practices
