Job summary

PENN Entertainment, a leader in digital gaming and entertainment, seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own and operate large‑scale infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments. You’ll drive migrations, build tooling, and improve observability for a regulated, high‑availability platform.

You will mentor teams, automate toil, and contribute to production‑first architecture decisions with autonomy and pragmatic engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE or similar role.
• Strong Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or on‑prem environments.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash for tooling.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and failure modes.
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD workflows.
• Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform/Helm).
• Track record leading cross‑team infra projects.
• Excellent technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead migrations and infra projects across multiple environments.
• Build platform tooling and automation (ArgoCD, Helm, GitHub Actions).
• Support development teams and unblock dependencies.
• Design observability and alerting with Datadog dashboards and runbooks.
• Provide on‑call support and incident response with structured debugging.
