Job summary

PENN Entertainment’s Penn Interactive is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and cloud services (GCP/AWS). You will lead migrations, build platform tooling, and improve observability while mentoring teammates and driving production-first architecture.

Ideal candidates have strong Kubernetes, distributed systems experience, and proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer roles.
• Production Kubernetes experience and Linux troubleshooting.
• AWS, GCP, or on-prem environments.
• Two or more of Go, Python, Bash for tooling and debugging.
• Distributed systems knowledge and capacity planning.
• GitOps/CI/CD experience (ArgoCD, Helm, GitHub Actions).
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm).
• Led complex migrations with cross-team dependencies.
• Strong incident response and structured debugging.
• Clear written technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex migrations and projects across environments.
• Build and maintain tooling and automation (ArgoCD, Helm, GitHub Actions).
• Support development teams; unblock dependencies and review architecture.
• Improve observability with Datadog dashboards and runbooks.
• Provide incident response and participate in on-call rotations.
