Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the availability, performance, and operational excellence of large-scale distributed systems in production. You will bridge development and operations, applying software engineering to infrastructure challenges and driving reliability with measurable outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of SRE/DevOps experience, strong programming skills (Python/Go/Java), and hands-on Linux and Kubernetes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of SRE/DevOps or production engineering experience for large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python/Go/Java with ability to build automation.
• Hands-on Linux administration at scale, with networking and performance tuning.
• Production experience operating Kubernetes and container workloads.
• Strong observability knowledge (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, Datadog).
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, consistency, partitioning, and failure semantics.
• Experience leading incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine SLOs/SLIs and error budgets for critical services.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews to drive improvements.
• Design and implement monitoring, logging, and tracing strategies.
• Build on-call processes, runbooks, and escalation paths.
• Automate operational toil with production-grade tooling (Python/Go/Bash).
• Operate large Kubernetes clusters and container workloads.
• Design CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases with testing and feature flags.
• Lead capacity planning and performance engineering with load testing.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability early in design.
• Support security posture improvements and vulnerability remediation.
• Mentor engineers on SRE practices and promote blameless culture.
