Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to ensure the availability, performance, and operational excellence of large-scale distributed systems in production. As an SRE, you’ll balance development and operations, applying software engineering to infrastructure and automating complex services for higher reliability.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of SRE/DevOps experience, strong programming skills, Kubernetes, and solid observability tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of SRE/DevOps/production engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of Python, Go, or Java used for automation.
• Hands-on Linux administration, networking, and performance tuning at scale.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and container-based workloads.
• Observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and apps.
• Understanding of distributed systems, consistency, partitioning, and failure semantics.
• Experience leading incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Design, automate, and operate complex services to reduce toil and improve reliability.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams at the boundary of software and infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and applications.
