Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure availability, performance, and operational excellence of large-scale distributed systems in production. You will bridge development and operations, applying software engineering to infrastructure and automation.

You will design SLOs/SLIs, lead incident response, and automate toil with Python/Go. Expertise in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability will drive scalable reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in SRE, DevOps, or production engineering on large distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Java with automation focus.
• Hands-on Linux at scale, networking and performance tuning.
• Experience operating Kubernetes and container workloads.
• Strong observability know-how with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, or Datadog.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for infra and apps.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, instrument, and refine SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for critical services.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for improvements.
• Design and implement monitoring, logging, and tracing strategies.
• Build on-call processes, runbooks, and escalation paths.
• Automate operational toil with production-grade tooling.
• Architect and operate large-scale Kubernetes clusters and container workloads.
• Design CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, canaries, feature flags.
• Lead capacity planning and performance engineering including load testing.
• Partner with development teams to embed reliability early in design.
• Improve platform resiliency with chaos engineering and fault injection.
• Drive security posture improvements with patch management and secure defaults.
• Contribute to roadmaps for reliability tooling and observability.
• Mentor engineers on SRE practices and promote blameless culture.
