Job summary

Jack Henry & Associates is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join the Cloud Infrastructure team. You will build and operate the core infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, enabling scalable, reliable delivery of services across the organization.

You will use Go or Python, work with Kubernetes and Terraform, and collaborate with product teams to improve developer velocity and platform reliability. The role is remote within the United States (California excluded) and offers opportunities for

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development, DevOps, or Infra as Code experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes deployments and operations.
• Terraform declarative infrastructure experience.
• Experience in AWS/Azure/GCP cloud environments.
• Production Go or Python programming experience.
• Experience with monitoring/logging/tracing tools (Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog/OpenTelemetry).
• Unix/Linux shell proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and build core infrastructure systems.
• Debug production infrastructure issues with root-cause analysis.
• Design for site reliability and automated workload movement.
• Develop platform solutions with Go or Python to improve velocity.
• Collaborate with engineering to promote best practices.
• Partner with teams to align platform with product needs.
• Own complex technical challenges and drive to completion.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
