Job summary

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their Cloud Infrastructure team. The role involves building and operating systems for scalable application delivery in Google Cloud Platform.

Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years in software development or Infrastructure as Code, including experience with Kubernetes and Terraform. The position is remote within the U.S. (except California), and is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes.
• Practical experience in declarative service infrastructure environments using Terraform.
• Experience in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
• Production Programming Experience in Go or Python is required.
• Experience designing and implementing monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions.
• Deep familiarity with operating in a Unix/Linux shell.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and build core infrastructure systems.
• Debug production infrastructure issues impacting multiple services.
• Design and operate systems with a focus on site health and reliability.
• Use software development skills to enhance platform solutions.
• Promote engineering best practices and guide peers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure platform solutions meet product needs.
• Take ownership of complex technical challenges.
