Job summary

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join the Cloud Infrastructure team. You will design, build, and operate core infrastructure across Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms to enable scalable, reliable services in GCP/AWS/Azure.

This role can be remote within the United States, with California excluded. You will collaborate with product engineering to improve developer velocity, implement best practices, and own complex technical challenges

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or Infrastructure as Code.
Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes.
Practical experience with declarative service infrastructure environments using Terraform.
Experience in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud environments.
Production programming experience in Go or Python.
Experience designing and implementing monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry).
Proficiency with Unix/Linux shell.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, and build the core infrastructure systems used by development and engineering teams.
Debug critical production infrastructure issues with root-cause analysis.
Design and operate systems with a focus on health and reliability, enabling automated workload movement and failure avoidance.
Use Go or Python to build and enhance platform solutions for developer velocity.
Collaborate with engineering peers to promote best practices and coding standards.
Partner with engineering teams to ensure platform solutions keep pace with product needs.
Take ownership of complex technical challenges and drive them to completion.
May perform other duties as assigned.
