Job summary

Seekr is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and drive the stability, reliability, and observability of Seekr’s software powering world‑class search technology for mobile devices.

You will lead initiatives across design, deployment, monitoring, and incident response, collaborating with software engineers to maintain SLAs, optimize performance, and automate operational tasks in a hybrid cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of Linux systems experience (network protocols).
• Experience with self-hosted monitoring, metrics, and centralized logging tools (ELK, Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana).
• Skilled in load testing applications.
• Proficient in Python, Ruby, Bash, Java.
• Strong with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automation with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform (Puppet/Terraform preferred).
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kafka, Aerospike.
• Git (on-prem/GitHub); GitLab and ArgoCD a bonus.
• Hybrid cloud with on‑prem experience.
• Proven track record of delivering results on time and with high quality.
• Excellent cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, architecture and implementation of systems, software, networks, and services to maintain SLAs.
• Lead development of solutions to complex operational reliability challenges and proactive detection of failures and scalability issues in production.
• Collaborate with software teams to build, monitor and triage services.
• Load test applications across the organization.
• Own the observability stack.
• Share ownership of incident response practices and procedures.
• Identify and remediate operational inefficiencies through automation.
• Troubleshoot and assist with incident response on live systems and deployment issues.
