Job summary

Seekr is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to advance the stability, reliability, and observability of Seekr's search technologies across platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure services meet SLAs and scale with demand.

You will own the observability stack, participate in incident response, and drive automation to reduce toil. Applicants should have deep Linux, container, and cloud experience, with strong scripting and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, preferably for SaaS environments.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and networking knowledge.
• Experience with self-hosted monitoring, metrics and central logging tools (ELK/Prometheus/InfluxDB/Grafana).
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python/Ruby/Bash/Java).
• Container tech expertise: Docker and Kubernetes (required).
• Automation and configuration management with Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Terraform (Puppet/TF preferred).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Aerospike is a plus.
• Git with GitHub; GitLab/ArgoCD a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design, architecture, and implement reliable systems to meet SLAs.
• Lead initiatives to detect and prevent reliability issues.
• Collaborate with software teams to monitor and triage services.
• Perform load testing across the org.
• Own and enhance the observability stack.
• Contribute to incident response practices and playbooks.
• Automate operational inefficiencies through tooling.
• Troubleshoot incidents and deployment issues in live systems.
