Job summary

Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer for the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. You will design and build software for observability, incident management, and resiliency across Remitly's services, aiming to improve reliability and availability.

You will lead initiatives from concept to delivery, mentor teammates on best practices for monitoring and high availability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing, hybrid-work environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer.
2+ years with Kubernetes, AWS, and infrastructure as code.
Experience leading collaborative projects from conception to delivery using Agile/Kanban.
Experience implementing Observability tooling at scale (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, New Relic, DataDog).
Deep understanding and passion for SRE concepts, patterns and tooling.

Responsibilities

Design and build software projects systems in SRE domains such as observability, incident management, problem management, and resiliency.
Lead large, ambiguous initiatives from inception to planning/design to delivery; identify opportunities to improve availability and implement automation.
Provide technical mentorship to other Remitly teams on how to observe their systems and design for high availability.
