Job summary

Early Warning Services, LLC is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer who partners with development teams to design availability and resiliency patterns for applications and infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure production systems.

You will lead cross‑functional efforts, implement automation for deployments and DR, build observability, mentor engineers, and participate in 24x7 on‑call readiness, all while championing best practices in microservices and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Computer Science or related field.
• 12+ years of related experience managing large complex projects in a technical or software development environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team through high priority incidents and improve RCA processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and proven experience resolving technical issues in complex environments.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing using Python, Go, Java, Docker, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement availability and resiliency patterns for applications and infrastructure.
• Build automation for deployments, configuration changes, and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Design, implement and evangelize observability and monitoring systems to proactively detect problems.
• Evaluate capacity and provide stats to Product/Business teams, recommending scalable paths.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Serve as a technical liaison for the application and provide runbooks to Level 1/2 teams.
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation.
• Champion repeatable patterns and standard, reusable work across teams.
• Work with development teams to implement best-practice microservice patterns.
