Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Site Project Controls Lead in Green Valley, AZ to oversee project controls for multiple plant engineering projects. You will lead cost estimating, forecasting, scheduling, variance analysis and reporting, while guiding the cost teams and collaborating with contracts on change management.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in ERP systems (SAP), Primavera P6, and Power BI, with excellent communication and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business related field or 12 years of project controls experience with high school diploma
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Project and Outlook
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all project controls across multiple plant engineering projects
• Develop, implement, and manage cost estimating, cost control, forecasting, and progress reporting
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to Cost teams
• Develop monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts and perform variance analysis
• Ensure timely delivery of project controls reports per SOPs
• Manage Change Order/PCN Log and Change Management System
• Maintain project schedule baselines and monitor variances with schedulers
• Validate EAF requests and ensure documentation accuracy
• Oversee DOA processes and EPMS data for key projects
• Develop WBS codes for cost and schedule control
• Perform other duties as required
