Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks a seasoned project controls leader to oversee cost estimating, cost control, forecasting, planning and scheduling across multiple plant engineering projects. You will guide a team of engineers, schedulers, and surveyors to align with project objectives and SOPs.

The role requires strong communication, ERP (SAP) and P6 experience, and deep understanding of accounting processes. Located near Tucson, you’ll work on-site with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business related field with eight or more years of project controls experience.
• High school diploma with twelve or more years of project controls or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Project and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task in a high paced project environment.
• Experience with ERP system SAP, P6, and other enterprise project performance software.
• Understanding of accounting functions and systems.
• Site specific training/MSHA required to work at site.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls across multiple plant engineering projects on Freeport-McMoRan sites.
• Develop, implement, and manage cost estimating, cost control, forecasting, planning, scheduling and reporting.
• Provide leadership and guidance to cost engineers, schedulers and surveyors.
• Maintain forecasts, SOPs, and progress measurement methodologies.
• Validate change orders, DOA processes, and budget availability for procurement.
