Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety Manager to lead site WHS program execution, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement through lean methods and Kaizen initiatives. You will build and mentor a team of safety professionals, partner with operations to reduce risk, deliver training, and provide data-driven insights to Sr.

leadership while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Measure site performance against safety policies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety record keeping, data integrity, and provide accurate reporting.
• Lead safety improvement projects and Kaizen events with Operations teams.
• Deep dive safety metrics and incident trends to justify resources for risk areas.
• Audit record keeping and safety training programs to maintain standards.
• Manage and mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates at the site.
