Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Site Civil Engineer in Missouri to lead design and planning for site civil projects, including grading, drainage and utilities. You will act as Engineer of Record and provide technical leadership for complex developments across integrated HDR teams.

Responsibilities include plan preparation, permitting coordination, cost estimation, and mentoring junior staff. The role requires PE licensure, 10+ years of design experience, and a proactive, client-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 10 years of design experience managing civil/site projects.
• Professional Engineer license recognized by the local licensing board.
• Project engineering and project management experience required.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and plan production for site civil projects, including layouts, grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and control.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead for site development projects.
• Prepare and review plans, specs, contracts, estimates and quantities.
• Lead permitting efforts with local, state and federal agencies.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise staff; coordinate with project teams.
