Job summary

AeroVect Technologies Inc. is transforming ground handling with autonomy, seeking a Software Engineer to own and extend the simulation tooling. Your work ensures determinism, reproducibility, and reliable gate failures for releases.

You will build and operate cloud-based scenario execution, extend evaluation layers, and improve diagnostics. Strong Python and simulation experience with CARLA/Gazebo-style tools are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Strong Python, with maintainable code in a shared codebase.
• Hands-on simulation experience for autonomous systems; familiarity with major platforms listed.
• Working knowledge of simulation, modelling, and validation methodology.
• Docker and Linux, distributed-systems fundamentals and GPU-based simulation experience.
• CI/CD and cloud execution; experience integrating automated test workflows into CI.
• Experience analyzing simulation output to identify performance bottlenecks and failures.
• Debugging and profiling skills for distributed, GPU-bound systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend the simulation environment: integration with production autonomy stack and models.
• Maintain and improve integration as the autonomy stack evolves; ensure fidelity of inputs.
• Build and operate scenario execution in the cloud: orchestration, parallelism, results, and cost modelling.
• Develop an evaluation layer that turns a run into a precise verdict for gatekeeping releases.
• Create failure-triage tooling: clustering, per-failure recordings, and dashboards for engineers.
• Extend scenario authoring tooling across backend and frontend.
• Maintain simulation foundations: determinism, reproducibility, and broader map/site coverage.
