Job summary

AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy. We seek a Senior Simulation Engineer to own and extend the simulation tooling that underpins our autonomy stack. You will ensure determinism and reproducibility while expanding coverage across maps and sites.

You will build cloud-based scenario execution, evaluation layers, and failure-triage tooling that helps autonomy engineers gate releases with precise pass/fail criteria, in a scalable, test-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Strong Python with maintainable code in a shared codebase.
• Hands-on simulation experience for autonomous systems and familiarity with common platforms.
• Working knowledge of simulation, modelling and validation methodology.
• CI/CD and cloud execution; experience integrating automated test workflows into CI.
• Experience analyzing simulation output and telemetry to identify performance bottlenecks and failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend the simulation environment: integration with production autonomy stack, interfaces, models, and environmental conditions.
• Maintain and improve integration as autonomy stack evolves, including fidelity work where input differences affect behavior.
• Build and operate scenario execution in the cloud: orchestration, parallelism, results aggregation, artifacts, cost modelling.
• Build and extend the evaluation layer that turns a run into a verdict with precise pass/fail criteria.
• Build failure-triage tooling: failure clustering, per-failure recordings, dashboards for autonomy engineers.
• Extend scenario authoring tooling used by the V&V team across backend and frontend.
• Maintain simulation foundations: determinism, performance, coverage to maps/sites.
