Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field relevant to autonomous systems.
• Strong Python with maintainable code in a shared codebase.
• Hands-on simulation experience for autonomous systems using platforms like CARLA or similar.
• Familiarity with simulation platforms such as CARLA, Applied Intuition, Foretellix, NVIDIA Omniverse, IsaacSim, Gazebo, or proprietary simulators.
• Docker and Linux, distributed-systems fundamentals, and experience with GPU-based simulation environments.
• CI/CD and cloud execution, and experience integrating automated test workflows into CI for end-to-end validation coverage.
• Experience analyzing simulation output and telemetry to identify performance bottlenecks and failure modes.
• Debugging and profiling skills suited to distributed, GPU-bound systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend the simulation environment and integration with the autonomy stack.
• Maintain and improve integration as the autonomy stack evolves.
• Build and operate scenario execution in the cloud: orchestration, parallelism, result aggregation, artifact capture, and cost modelling.
• Build and extend the evaluation layer turning runs into clear verdicts (pass/fail).
• Develop failure-triage tooling: clustering, per-failure recordings, and dashboards for engineers.
• Extend scenario authoring tooling for the V&V team across backend and frontend.
• Maintain determinism, performance, and coverage across maps and sites.
